And now it's time for something unexpected - a little real life humor and sarcasm, that has nothing to do with fertility.
I am working at a summer camp, with kids from Kinder-5th grade. Typically I work with 1st graders, 3rd graders, and 4-5th grade boys. Kids ask the funniest, weirdest, most random (and sometimes rudest!), questions. So today I am going to list the answers I've had to give in the past few weeks.
1."Yes, I really am married." (Accompanied by showing them my wedding ring)
2."Yes, I live with my husband."
3."No, I do not have kids"
4."Nor am I pregnant." (Do I look pregnant?! Geez)
5."These 'holes' in my face are called pores. Everyone has them. Yours are just smaller than mine. Wait until you hit puberty."
6."My water bottle has water in it." (What a novel concept!)
7."Yes, these are real Lego earrings" (accompanied by having to take my earring out to prove it)
8."Yes, you could build on to the Lego earrings, no I am not going to"
9."I have a Batman watch and earrings because I like Batman..."
10. "Yes, Ms J___ is really my sister" (My sister also works at the same camp)
11. "No, she and I are not twins." (You know, we're only 9 years apart)
Now, the best part? I've had to give every one of these answers multiple times, not just once. And I'm sure there are more. If I think of them (or have new ones to add!) I'll add them here.
